MOZART: The Magic Flute Pilar Lorengar, Pamina; Cristina Deutekom, Queen of the Night; Renate Holm, Papagena; Hermann Prey, Papageno; Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Speaker; Stuart Burrows, Tamino; Martti Talvela, Sarastro; Vienna State Opera Chorus, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Georg Solti London OSA-1397 (3 LPs, op. The male voices are in superb form. Talvela as Sarastro and Fischer-Dieskau as the Speaker are particularly effective in adding a mystical dimension to their roles. Overall, the female cast is not quite as strong. However, Holm as Papagena mates well with Prey.

By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Pilar Lorengar, Martti Talvela, Stuart Burrows, Hermann Prey, Wolfgang Zimmer, Vienna Philharmonic & Sir Georg Solti. Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, Act I: "Die Weisheitslehre dieser Knaben". By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Stuart Burrows, Chorus of the Vienna State Opera, Vienna Philharmonic & Sir Georg Solti. Don Giovanni, ossia Il dissoluto punito, . 27: "Sola, sola in buio loco". He made both his Vienna State Opera and Salzburg Festival debuts in 1970, as Tamino in Mozart's The Magic Flute and as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, respectively, following up this double-header with his Metropolitan Opera debut in 1971 (again as Ottavio). Burrows was the first singer from the United Kingdom to sing 12 consecutive seasons at that house.

Mozart - Die Zauberflöte The Magic Flute. Pilar Lorengar as Pamina and Christina Deutekom as Queen of the Night. They are adequate but not impressive Queens such as Sumi Jo (Solti II), Erna Berger, Lucia Popp, Erika Koth and Wilma Lipp. The same contrast occurs with competing Paminas such as Hilde Gueden, Gundula Janowitz, Annaliese Rothenberger and Ruth Ziesak (Solti II).

Stuart Burrows: все альбомы, включая The Welsh Male Voice, Hen Gerddi Fy Ngwlad, Favourite Songs Of Wales, Ffefrynnau Cymraeg A Saesneg Stuart Burrows/ Stuart Burrows Sings Welsh And English Favourites и другие. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (28 May 1925 – 18 May 2012) was a German lyric baritone and conductor of classical music, one of the most famous Lieder (art song) performers of the post-war period, best known as a singer of Franz Schubert's Lieder, particularly "Winterreise" of which his recordings with accompanist Gerald Moore and Jörg Demus are still critically acclaimed half a century after their release.
