Back Home Again is the eighth studio album by singer-songwriter John Denver released in June, 1974. The multi-platinum album contained the hit singles "Annie's Song" ( pop, adult contemporary), and "Back Home Again" ( pop, AC, country). In addition, the studio versions of "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" and "Sweet Surrender" appear on this album.

Back Home Again is the eighth album by singer-songwriter John Denver released in June 1974. The song "The Music is You" is a bonus track on the 1998 reissue of Rocky Mountain Christmas. On the cover, John is shown with his then-wife Ann Martell. He said that it was one of the fastest songs he ever wrote, composing it in about 10 minutes while he was riding on a ski lift in Aspen, Colorado. Denver was reflecting on all the joy he found in his marriage and his relief that they were back together. Wrote Denver: "Suddenly, I'm hypersensitive to how beautiful everything is. All of these things filled up my senses, and when I said this to myself unbidden images came one after the other.
