Sonic Death is a live album by American rock band Sonic Youth. It was released in 1984 on cassette tape by the Ecstatic Peace! record label. Sonic Death contains live recordings from 1981 to 1983. Many of the tracks on the album appear only as fragments, often with no breaks between them. Most of the songs are live versions of tunes from Sonic Youth's first three releases, Sonic Youth, Confusion Is Sex and the Kill Yr Idols EP.

In September 2011, Sonic Youth went on "indefinite hiatus" following the separation of Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore (the couple had been married since 1984). Вебсайты: sonicyouth. at, Bookogs, scaruffi.

Sonic Death" is a vastly underrated audio collage recorded live between 1981 and 1983. It was originally a cassette release compiled by Thurston on his own label, "Ecstatic Peace!". There was no track listing, just "side 1" and "side 2". When SST and Blast First simultaneously reissued "Sonic Death" in 1988 on cassette and CD, no attempt was made to isolate the tracks (a wise decision), the CD just separated side 1 and side 2 onto 2 tracks. I'm not sure whether to classify "Sonic Death" as an album per se, but it's without.

EVOL is the third studio album by the American alternative rock band Sonic Youth. It was released in May 1986 by SST Records, the band's first release on the label. The album is notable for being the first with a new drummer, Steve Shelley, replacing Bob Bert, and for showing signs of the band's transition from their no wave past toward a greater pop sensibility.
