Moving Mountains has stated that Triple Crown Records let them record and write the album however they wanted to. The lyrics were written by Gregory Dunn, some of which, like Pneuma, were again written about his friend that had died. He has stated that this is the last album with lyrics about his deceased friend. In December, 2015, Moving Mountains announced a Split EP with the band Prawn, as well as a three city tour the weekend of December 18 to 20. Cities included were Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Cambridge. They toured with Prawn and Moneen.

Prawn's side is stellar as well, albeit overshadowed by Moving Mountains - Prawn fans take note. Their songs could easily fit as highlights of Kingfisher and are a classic example of the band's sound. Point to this release if you want to introduce either of these bands to anyon. ltogether one of, if not the best split release of 2015. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Moving Mountains, Prawn Split EP. Nov 27 2015. Our friends in Prawn are premiering a new track from our split EP coming out later this month. Head over to Noisey to listen. It comes out November 27th. Tickets are still on sale for our dates this December with Prawn, and Moneen. Tickets can be found here. Here’s the first video, entitled Swing Set.

This split finds Moving Mountains breaking the silence they’ve shrouded themselves in after going on a hiatus in 2013. Is it a sign of more things to come? Or is this split a way of handing over the torch to the equally impressive and atmospheric Prawn? Who know! Fact is that this split is stunning. Moving Mountains kick off their half of the split with Abby Normal, which is all slick and smooth and which comes with sweeping strings and Gregory Dunn’s warm vocals. Welcome back guys! They then proceed with Deathless, which reminded me of Goo Goo Dolls’ Name at first before becoming its own thing.

Moving Mountains/Prawn Split. SnipeCity December 27th 15. A pretty solid split here. Deathless really steals the show.

A great return to form for Moving Mountains with two of the best songs they've ever released, period. Abby Normal is emotional and touching; and Deathless presents itself as a winding, intricate lullaby that's been on my turntable ever since I got it. Prawn's side is stellar as well, albeit overshadowed by Moving Mountains - Prawn fans take note. Their songs could easily fit as highlights of Kingfisher and are a classic example of the band's sound. Point to this release if you want to introduce either of these bands to anyone… altogether one of, if not the best split release of 2015. Highly recommended.
