Flogging Molly Lyrics. Set to make this pain, disappear And lead me to this light You'll one day fear Don't make me belong Where I don't belong Let's us suffer in this silence I can't hear. Oh, but if I could walk across the ocean To be beside you when you sleep I'd swim the cold Atlantic water Just to hold you next to me. Life is good, life is good Life is fine, life is fine Life is everything we loathe, it's so unkind They say death is cruel, death is cruel But death unwinds, death unwinds It comes naturally to all us here alike.

In their sixth studio album, Life is Good, Flogging Molly show that they’re a master of the Celtic punk sound, giving us twelve well-polished tracks. Some songs lean more towards the ‘Celtic’ than the ‘punk’ but the overall well-written feel of the album and amazing production keeps everything from being too uneven. For all of Flogging Molly’s hard edges, they bring a sincerity to songs that need it. Songs like Hope and The Last Serenade (Sailors and Fishermen) are sung beautifully straight and beautifully sincere. The lyrics might err on the hokey side at certain points, but Flogging Molly sells it one hundred percent.

Nevertheless, Flogging Molly still dish out some rock energy in "Life Is Good," which feels more special when not being the fundamental appeal of the album. Lyrics - 8 Going hand in hand with a maturing of sound, King's lyrics in Flogging Molly's later albums have been a lot more s and, in effect, quite grim. King still has some tough observations in "Life is Good," like the tenuous rebuilding of community in "Welcome To Adamstown," and xenophobia in "Crushed (Hostile Nations)," but for the most part, King's lyrics in the album live up to the positive title. Their first studio album in 6 years (following 2011's Speed of Darkness), it is also their first album to feature drummer Mike Alonso. Dave King – lead vocals, acoustic guitar, bodhran, spoons. Bridget Reagan – fiddle, tin whistle, backing vocals. Dennis Casey – acoustic guitar, electric guitar, backing vocals. Matt Hensley – accordion, backing vocals.
